| Tobacco, a serious illness
What is addiction to Tobacco? Tobacco addiction is in actuality an addiction to the Nicotine, which is the active component in tobacco, and is the ingredient which creates the addiction of smokers and users of tobacco. Contrary to popular belief, Nicotine is not the most harmful substance caused by smoking tobacco. Much more dangerous to one’s health are the other four thousand chemicals which are produced when smoking tobacco; there is a great number of those 4 thousand chemicals which are considered to be cancerous (cancer causing) such as Cyanide (utilized in rat poison products), Formaldehyde (utilized in the embalmment of dead bodies), Ammoniac (utilized in cleaning products), Benzene, etc… The list is far too long for this article.
The aformentioned chemicals slowly begin to accumulate in our respiratory system, year after year, cigarette after cigarette, converting the bad habit of smoking into a time bomb that always explodes after a few years affecting not only the health and life of the smoker, but more than likely because of “second hand smoke”, also affecting the health of all those surrounding the smokers. It has been proven that the children of parents who smoke frequently suffer from Asthma, Bronchitis, Pneumonia, and Infections of the Ear, and in many other cases Infant Sudden Death Syndrome.
There is no safe manner of ingesting tobacco. The only way to eliminate the risk of Cancer, Emphysema, Heart Disease and many other illnesses related to the consumption of tobacco, is NOT TO COSUME it, and if you are using tobacco and you are unable to quit on your own, you are not alone. There are millions of people who have become addicted to the Nicotine and each day struggle to stop their habit while watching their health slowly deteriorate.
The good news is that with a bit of will power and the right treatment, it is possible to escape this horrible illness from which only results suffering and an agonizing death.
